Des Walsh is a seasoned singer-songwriter and live performer based in County Cavan, with more than 40 years of experience performing in bands and as a solo artist across Ireland.
Equally at home in intimate acoustic settings, busy late-night venues, corporate events, and festival stages, Des delivers a wide-ranging repertoire spanning classics from the 1950s through to contemporary favourites. His performances combine strong musicianship, audience awareness, and a relaxed, professional stage presence suited to a broad range of audiences and venues.
Available as a solo act or as a duo with bassist Joe Gorman, Des can adapt his set and sound to suit everything from stripped-back acoustic sessions to fuller live entertainment bookings.
Alongside his live cover performances, Des also writes and performs original material under the name MyNameIsMond, and plays guitar with the Bluegrass/Americana group Whistle.
